De nieuwe iPhone 7 zal vermoedelijk met maximaal 256GB aan opslagruimte worden geleverd.
Dat blijkt uit documenten gelekt op Twitter. Daaruit blijkt dat de iPhone 7 drie opslagopties krijgt: 32GB, 128GB en 256GB.

Apple zou daarmee de opslagcapaciteit van de iPhone verbeteren. De huidige iPhone 6S wordt met 16GB, 64GB en 128GB aangeboden. Sommige iPads worden al verkocht met 256GB aan geheugen.

Het geheugen voor de hoogste opslagoptie zou door Toshiba aan Apple worden geleverd. Een niet nader genoemde fabrikant levert het geheugen voor 32GB en 128GB.

Apple heeft de iPhone 7 nog niet officieel aangekondigd. Dit zal vermoedelijk gebeuren op 7 september. Volgens bronnen wordt er dan een speciaal evenement voor de nieuwe smartphone georganiseerd.
