Steeds meer Nederlandse zestigplussers verhuren woning op Airbnb
Steeds vaker verhuren Nederlandse zestigplussers hun woning via Airbnb. Het aandeel senioren op het woningverhuurplatform is het afgelopen jaar bijna verdubbeld.
Ook in de leeftijdscategorieën 50-59 (88 procent), 40-49 (79 procent) en 25-29 (74 procent) zit er groei in het aantal aanbieders. In totaal worden er wereldwijd zo'n 160.000 accommodaties aangeboden door zestigplussers op de verhuursite, ongeveer 10 procent van het totale aanbod.

Volgens Airbnb waarderen huurders de zestigplussers beter dan verhuurders in andere leeftijdsgroepen. Gemiddeld krijgen de senioren vaker de maximale beoordeling van vijf sterren.

In Frankrijk bevinden zich de meeste zestigplussers onder de woningverhuurders, ruim 15 procent. Ierland en Italië (beide 13 procent) volgen daarna. Nederland staat samen met Zwitserland en Spanje op de laatste plaats in de top tien (9 procent).

Het verhuren van de woning levert de zestigplusser in Nederland gemiddeld zo’n 3.290 euro op. Dat is meer dan de gemiddelde opbrengst in Europa van 3.000 euro.

De senioren verhuren hun woning voor ongeveer 23 nachten per jaar, bijna twee dagen per maand.
