Konami kondigt nieuw deel in Metal Gear-reeks aan
Konami heeft een nieuwe Metal Gear-game aangekondigd met de naam Metal Gear Survive.
Het spel is een multiplayer co-op-game die met maximaal vier personen tegelijk gespeeld kan worden. De nadruk ligt op het overleven tegen hordes vijanden.

Het is de eerste keer dat een Metal Gear-game wordt ontwikkeld zonder de supervisie van bedenker Hideo Kojima, die na afronding van Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain opstapte en zijn eigen studio begon.

Metal Gear Survive speelt zich af direct na de gebeurtenissen aan het einde van Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes. Na de aanval op Mother Base worden de achtergelaten soldaten meegesleurd in een wormhole naar een nieuwe dimensie. Daar komen ze oog in oog te staan met zombie-achtige wezens.

Wapens
Konami omschrijft de gameplay als "survival op de Metal Gear-manier". Spelers kunnen verschillende soorten wapens gebruiken om zowel kleine als grote vijanden te verslaan.

Hoewel de trailer kort Big Boss en Kazuhira Miller laat zien, is het onbekend of en op welke manier personages uit de Metal Gear-serie terugkeren in Metal Gear Survive.

Het spel verschijnt volgend jaar voor PlayStation 4, Xbox One en pc.
